Tropical Storm Chris ‘a wake-up call,’ says Red Cross (Boca Raton News, Aug. 2, '06)

"Tropical Storm Chris is an opportunity for our community to remember that hurricane season is with us until November and we have just entered the height of the season," said Mary Blakeney, emergency services director.

"The American Red Cross, the National Weather Service and the Federal Emergency Management Agency urge each and every family to develop a family disaster plan."
